Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented individual to join our Proxy Voting team.

This role is suited to an individual combining strong technical operational expertise with the ability to provide day‑to‑day oversight and guidance.

The successful candidate will take a lead role in managing complex proxy voting workflows, driving data quality standards, and acting as a senior point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, while supporting the proxy voting team in the governance and continuous improvement of the function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational ownership – lead the end‑to‑end management of proxy voting activity across Man Group’s accounts, ensuring ballots are processed accurately and on time, with particular focus on complex, high‑priority, or time‑sensitive events.
  • Team supervision – provide day‑to‑day oversight, guidance, and support to the proxy voting team; assist in training, workload allocation, and quality review of team output.
  • Platform expertise – serve as a subject‑matter expert on proxy voting platforms (e. g.

Glass Lewis or equivalent), supporting platform administration, troubleshooting, and onboarding of new users.

  • Workflow oversight – monitor and manage voting workflows across the team, identifying bottlenecks or risks and implementing solutions to ensure consistent adherence to deadlines and controls.
  • Data quality & controls – own and enforce data quality standards across the function, overseeing reconciliation processes, exception management, and audit trail integrity; escalates systemic issues as appropriate.
  • Regulatory & client compliance – understand regulatory requirements and client‑specific accounts, supporting the interpretation and implementation of voting guidelines and flagging potential conflicts or compliance risks.
  • Stakeholder management – build and maintain effective relationships with key internal stakeholders (Portfolio Management, Legal & Compliance, ESG/Responsible Investment) and external parties (custodians, prime brokers, proxy agents, issuers).
  • Reporting & governance – lead the preparation of voting reports, MIS, and materials for internal governance committees and client reporting; ensure outputs are accurate, timely, and fit for purpose.
  • Continuous improvement – proactively identify and drive operational improvements, including process re‑engineering, automation opportunities, and enhanced controls; contribute to technology and platform development initiatives.
  • Procedure ownership – maintain and update operational procedures, ensuring documentation is current, comprehensive, and aligned with regulatory and best practice standards.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in investment operations, supervising an operational function, or leading a project/initiative to completion.
  • Knowledge of at least one industry‑standard proxy voting platform (e. g. Glass Lewis, ISS Proxy Exchange, or equivalent).
  • Proven ability to manage end‑to‑end voting workflows, including in high‑volume or time‑critical scenarios.
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining high standards of data quality, including reconciliation and exception management.
  • Solid understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks (e. g. SRD II, ERISA, SEC requirements as applicable).
  • Experience working across multiple fund structures or jurisdictions.
  • Familiarity with ESG/responsible investing frameworks and proxy voting policy.
  • Exposure to automation, workflow technology, or operational transformation projects.
  • Experience contributing to regulatory reporting or client due diligence processes.
