Our Securities Lending trading team generates alpha for clients across scientific, fundamental and index products. We partner with portfolio managers to optimize returns through a variety of trade types. BlackRock is a pioneer of using quantitative techniques and sophisticated models to improve the performance of its Securities Lending business.
We are actively seeking an outstanding teammate to join our Securities Lending Trading team based in London. With a focus on cutting edge technology and embedded research, our investment management approach to lending provides superior performance for our clients and is an important part of the BlackRock brand. In this fast paced and dynamic environment, we will look to you to actively contribute and drive the continued development.
What will you be doing?
- Actively trade and optimize BlackRock's Fixed Income securities lending book for clients. You will be directly responsible for revenue generation and active performance management.
- Actively build and implement trading strategies based on analysis of companies, sectors, and market variables. You will deliver market leading returns in a risk-aware and controlled manner.
- Be an excellent internal and external partner! You will develop, lead and build on internal & financing market relationships.
- Build and lead partnerships with internal teams, including our global trading team to help drive efficiencies to improve revenue, performance and mitigate risks.
- Be responsible for day-to-day administrative issues in support of trading activities and liaise with trading operations.
- Work with internal Quantitative Research and Algorithmic Trading groups to innovate systems, trading analytics, and coordinate implementation.
- Manage risk with strong attention to even the smallest details.
What are we looking for?
- An outstanding teammate! Excellent communicator with first class relationship management skills is a given. You are also self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and positive team-oriented outlook.
- 2+ years of experience in Fixed Income / Securities Lending / Repo / Financing markets is preferred.
- Proficiency with Excel and experience in one or more of SQL, Python, VBA, Business Objects is strongly preferred.
