We're partnering with an established organisation looking to strengthen its IT function with the addition of an Infrastructure Administrator. This is a hands-on infrastructure role where you'll take ownership of the day-to-day management and maintenance of a core infrastructure environment, supporting a server estate of around 40 servers. You'll work across server administration, patching, monitoring, backup and disaster recovery, while also providing 3rd line support for more complex technical issues. We're looking for someone who is technically driven, enjoys solving problems and is keen to continue developing their skills across infrastructure and cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows Server infrastructure
- Own server patching, monitoring and maintenance
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy and virtual environments
- Manage backups and support Disaster Recovery activities
- Monitor infrastructure using SolarWinds and other tools
- Support infrastructure security and vulnerability remediation
- Provide 3rd line technical support and troubleshooting
- Use PowerShell to improve automation and efficiency
- Support infrastructure projects and continuous improvement
Required Experience
- Strong experience in Infrastructure or Systems Administration
- Windows Server, Active Directory and Group Policy
- Server patching and maintenance
- PowerShell / scripting
- Azure or other cloud technologies
- Hyper-V and virtualisation
- Backup and Disaster Recovery
- Infrastructure and server security
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience with SolarWinds, Veeam, Microsoft Defender, Intune/SCCM, FortiGate or RMM platforms would be highly desirable.
