The Human Capital Strategic Initiatives Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing high-impact projects that align with the strategic goals of Aon’s Human Capital business. This role requires a dynamic individual with a proven track record in project management, strategic planning, and execution. The Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and achieve intended outcomes. This is a hybrid role based in London with the flexibility to work from other locations in the UK. Reporting to the Human Capital COO and partnering with key leaders globally, the Strategic Initiatives Project Manager will be responsible for leading priority projects aligned to our 3x3 strategy.

Responsibilities include:

  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans that outline scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation. Ensure projects are implemented according to plan and adjust as necessary to meet changing requirements and priorities.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, to understand project requirements, communicate progress, and manage expectations. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success. Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track project performance using appropriate tools and techniques. Report on project progress, performance metrics, and outcomes to partners.
  • Resource Management: Coordinate and lead project resources, including team members, vendors, and external partners. Ensure resources are applied effectively and efficiently.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement by finding opportunities for process enhancements and implementing best practices in project management.

Skills and experience that will lead to success:

  • Experience preferred in project/program manager, change management role, or continuous improvement role.
  • Foundational understanding of Human Capital (Health, Wealth and or Talent) including industry practices, competitors, and recent trends is a plus.
  • Proven experience in applying well-developed problem-solving skills (quantitative, conceptual, analytical).
  • Microsoft Office skills (particularly in Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to identify opportunities for growth and subsequently take a leadership role in exploring new insights with ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong work ethic, open-mindedness, and willingness to learn, good organizational awareness.
