I'm working with an organisation investing heavily in its data capability and looking to appoint an experienced Enterprise Data Architect to lead the design and evolution of its enterprise-wide data landscape.

This is a senior strategic position where you'll work closely with technology and business leaders to shape data architecture, define standards and ensure the organisation has a scalable, secure and future-ready data platform.

You'll play a key role in modernising existing data environments, designing cloud-based solutions and driving best practice across data governance, modelling and analytics.

Key responsibilities

  • Define and develop the enterprise data architecture strategy.
  • Design scalable data warehouse, lakehouse and cloud data solutions.
  • Establish data governance, quality and architectural standards.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to align technology with business objectives.
  • Lead architecture decisions across data platforms, integration and analytics.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify existing platforms while improving scalability and performance.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to the wider data estate.

What we're looking for

  • Extensive experience in Enterprise Data Architecture or a similar strategic data leadership role.
  • Strong background designing enterprise-scale cloud data platforms.
  • Experience with Azure, Databricks and modern data architecture principles.
  • Strong understanding of data modelling, governance and data quality frameworks.
  • Experience delivering large-scale data transformation initiatives.
  • Knowledge of technologies such as SQL, Py Spark, Snowflake, Kafka and modern BI platforms including Power BI or Tableau.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior technical and business stakeholders.
