Responsibilities
- Leading a team of six high‑performing engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

- Remaining a hands‑on engineer, contributing directly to the codebase and leading by example on technical design and implementation.

- Partnering with internal stakeholders across systematic trading, discretionary research, and technology to translate requirements into successful delivery.

- Owning the operational excellence of a multi‑petabyte, low‑latency market‑data platform processing billions of datapoints daily.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
- Experience with data feeds.
- Experience running and delivering complex projects to an exceptionally high standard.
- Deep knowledge of one or more relevant technologies such as Iceberg, KDB, or Kafka.
- Expertise in distributed systems at scale.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience with performance optimisation and large‑scale data processing.
- Ability to turn stakeholder requirements into successful outcomes.
- Embracing agentic engineering – willingness and ability to work effectively with AI‑assisted development tools as part of daily workflow.
- Strong academic record and a degree with high mathematical and computing content (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or Physics).
- Deep expertise in Java and Python.
- Proficient on Linux platforms and strong understanding of Git.
- Contributions to open‑source projects.
- Experience working with large language models (LLMs).
