The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
The candidate will be working with the portfolio managers and fellow analysts to provide sector-based coverage of the U.S and European credit market. He/she will be responsible for both providing investment opinions and profitable trade ideas both for the financials and some corporate sectors.
The analyst will be also monitoring existing investments on the funds to minimise risk. Furthermore, the candidate will support the portfolio management in all aspects of the investment process.
Key Responsibilities- Functions include updating historical financial models, building out projections, maintaining comparative company analysis, relaying information from conference calls, industry conferences and discussions with management teams and developing investments theses and trade ideas as well as verbal & written communication of investment recommendations & credit opinions to portfolio managers.
- Keep PM\'s and Traders updated on all news items related to companies within the invested universe.
- Support the portfolio management in its day-to-day business.
- Participate and contribute in interest rate, credit and product meetings.
- Help to deploy and further develop the company\'s proprietary quantitative tools.
- Assist in the creation of client requested, credit-oriented documentation.
- Ad hoc project work as required.

Specific Functional Duties- The candidate will work together with the team on our highly regarded thought leadership articles and other publications
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills are paramount
- Ability to translate fundamental credit opinions into relative value ideas
- Assess corporate and financial structures and covenants.
- Proficient in Bloomberg, Excel, Word and Powerpoint
- Knowledge of quantitative methods and programming languages (VBA, R, Python)
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Bachelor degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or Mathematics (CFA preferred or working towards)
- Experience of working in asset management or debt capital markets would be an advantage as would experience within Credit rating agencies.
- Prior experience covering financial sector would be an advantage
