Kriya is seeking a strategic and hands-on VP Commercial to lead the next phase of growth for our flagship Invoice Finance products. This is a foundational leadership role where you will own the P&L, define our go-to-market strategy, and scale a high-performing commercial team. You will balance hands-on deal execution with team leadership, personally closing major agreements while mentoring your team and refining our sales process. Your responsibility spans the entire commercial journey: from acquiring new clients to managing strategic accounts, ensuring we not only win key merchants but also drive their long-term growth. A central part of this role is to build trusted, lasting partnerships with both direct clients and broker partners, solidifying our position as the market's preferred partner.
You will collaborate closely with other teams across the business (including Risk, Compliance and Product) to refine our offering based on market feedback and ensure we stay ahead of the competitive and regulatory landscape. We need a proven leader with experience in launching and scaling complex financial products, who thrives in a high-energy, target-driven environment and is passionate about building and developing talented teams.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute on the go-to-market commercial strategy, and develop a deep understanding of our target customers and markets.
- Own and be responsible for hitting revenue targets and the P&L for the Invoice Finance division.
- Create a culture of high performance through clear objectives and KPI tracking.
- Build trusted relationships at all seniority levels of prospective clients; from strategic C-level to operational stakeholders.
- Lead the Account Management team to develop and execute initiatives that boost customer retention, streamline operations, and elevate client satisfaction.
- Identify and capitalise on new growth opportunities.
- Act as a player/coach who can lead and mentor junior members of the team, driving overall target delivery.
- Set up scalable internal sales processes to ensure we can deliver against our ambitious goals and continuously improve for high efficiency.
Qualifications
- Experience in Invoice Finance, Asset Based Lending, or other commercial finance, fintech and the B2B Payments space.
- Experience in a Lead/Senior B2B commercial role, selling payment or software services into mid-to-large enterprise accounts.
- A strong network in the industry is highly advantageous.
- A proven track record of owning and delivering against revenue targets in a go-to-market role.
- A strong people manager, mentor and coach with experience in hiring great talent.
- Highly organised, with solid process-building and project management skills.
- Enthusiasm about working in a fast-paced, team-oriented, mission-led environment.
- Able to commute to the London office 2-3 days per week.
- Understands risk frameworks and the risks associated with invoice finance.
