An established and growing Managed Service Provider is looking for a technically strong Modern Workplace & Infrastructure Engineer to join their technical team, supporting a broad client base across cloud, infrastructure, and end‑user environments. This role is suited to someone operating above a traditional desktop support level, with strong hands‑on experience across Microsoft 365, Intune, hybrid infrastructure, virtualization, backup technologies, and endpoint management.

You’ll be joining a fast‑paced MSP environment supporting a range of modern workplace and infrastructure technologies, while acting as an escalation point for more complex technical issues and assisting with infrastructure improvements and project work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting and administering Microsoft 365 environments, including Intune, Entra ID, Exchange Online, MFA, Conditional Access, and security policies
  • Managing endpoint devices, Autopilot deployments, compliance policies, application deployment, and endpoint security
  • Supporting backup and recovery processes using tools such as Veeam
  • Troubleshooting and maintaining virtual environments (Hyper‑V and/or VMware)
  • Supporting hybrid infrastructure environments across both cloud and on‑prem systems
  • Supporting Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows Server environments
  • Handling escalated infrastructure, endpoint, and user‑related incidents within an ITSM platform
  • Performing patching, updates, monitoring, and general infrastructure maintenance
  • Assisting with infrastructure migrations, deployments, and improvement projects
  • Supporting onboarding/offboarding processes, permissions, and user account administration
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation and knowledge base articles
  • Working closely with senior engineers, third‑party suppliers, and internal stakeholders to maintain service continuity and SLA performance
What we’re looking for
  • Experience in a strong 2nd Line or Infrastructure Support role, ideally within an MSP environment
  • Strong Microsoft 365 administration experience (Intune, Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager and endpoint compliance
  • Experience supporting hybrid cloud and on‑prem infrastructure environments
  • Good understanding of virtualization technologies (Hyper‑V and/or VMware)
  • Experience with backup and recovery solutions (Veeam highly desirable)
  • Solid understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, endpoints, and Microsoft environments
  • Experience working within ITIL‑aligned support environments and ticketing systems
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non‑technical users
Nice to have
  • Exposure to Azure services
  • PowerShell scripting or automation experience
  • Experience supporting Azure Virtual Desktop or Remote Desktop environments
  • Understanding of high availability and disaster recovery concepts
  • Previous experience acting as an escalation point or mentoring junior engineers

This is a great opportunity to join a growing MSP environment where you’ll gain exposure to a wide range of technologies, clients, and infrastructure projects, with clear progression into senior infrastructure or modern workplace engineering roles over time.
