A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Plumber's / Pipefitter's Mate to join a well-established M&E contractor on a busy project at New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure an immediate start on a well-organised healthcare project, working alongside experienced Pipefitters and Plumbers on a variety of mechanical installation works.
The Role
Working as part of the mechanical installation team, you'll be assisting qualified Pipefitters and Plumbers with a range of mechanical installation duties, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
The project offers a consistent Monday to Friday working week with excellent site management and the opportunity for further work upon successful completion.
Scope of Works
The role will include assisting with
- Supporting Pipefitters with mechanical installations.
- Installing bracketry and support systems.
- Assisting with screwed steel pipework installations.
- General mechanical labouring duties.
- Measuring, cutting and preparing pipework.
- Material handling and distribution across site.
- Assisting with plant room installations.
- Keeping work areas clean, organised and safe.
- Working from site drawings under the supervision of skilled operatives.
- Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with site health and safety procedures.
Requirements
To be considered for this role you must have
- Valid CSCS Card (Essential).
- Previous experience working as a Plumber's Mate or Pipefitter's Mate on commercial or healthcare projects.
- Experience assisting with mechanical installations.
- Own basic hand tools and full PPE.
- A reliable, hardworking and professional attitude.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
