A fantastic opportunity has arisen for 2 experienced Plumber's Mates / Pipefitter's Mates to join a well-established M&E contractor on a busy school refurbishment project in St Helens.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure a short-term contract working alongside experienced Pipefitters during the initial mechanical strip-out phase of the project, with the potential for further work on future projects.
The Role
Working as part of an experienced mechanical team, you'll assist with the strip-out and removal of existing mechanical services ahead of a full re-pipe installation. This is a well-organised project offering a consistent Monday to Friday working week with between 40 and 45 hours per week, depending on site requirements.
Scope of Works
The successful candidates will be responsible for assisting with:
- Mechanical strip-out of existing pipework and associated services.
- Removal and disposal of redundant mechanical installations.
- Supporting Pipefitters with lifting, moving and installing materials.
- General mechanical labouring duties.
- Keeping work areas clean, safe and organised.
- Assisting with deliveries and material distribution across site.
- Working in line with site health and safety procedures at all times.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Valid CSCS Card or JIB card
- Previous experience working as a Plumber's Mate, Pipefitter's Mate or Mechanical Labourer.
- Experience on commercial refurbishment or construction projects.
- Own PPE.
- A positive attitude, good work ethic and ability to work as part of a team.
