Electrical Mate / Electrical Improver Location: Accrington Market Hall, Accrington Pay: £21.00 per hour Job Type: Temporary Contract Hours: 46.5 Hours Paid Per Week Duration: 6 Weeks + Start Date: Immediate (17/08/2026) Electrical Mate / Electrical Improver Required – Accrington Market Hall LGP Consultancy is recruiting on behalf of a well-established electrical contractor for experienced Electrical Mates / Electrical Improvers to join an ongoing refurbishment project at Accrington Market Hall. This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term work on a high-profile commercial refurbishment project, working alongside an experienced electrical team carrying out a full electrical installation. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on a busy site with the potential for further projects upon completion. The Role Working under the supervision of qualified Electricians, your duties will include: * Assisting with commercial electrical installations. * Installing metal containment systems including basket, tray, trunking and conduit. * Pulling, routing and dressing electrical cables. * Assisting with first fix and second fix electrical works. * Supporting the installation of lighting, emergency lighting and small power. * Assisting with wiring and terminating electrical systems where required. * General site duties and assisting the wider electrical team. * Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and health & safety on site. * Working from drawings and following instructions from Site Supervisors and Electricians. * Ensuring all works are completed safely and to a high standard. Requirements To be considered for this position, you will require: * Valid ECS Card (Electrical Labourer or Electrical Improver). * Previous experience working on commercial electrical projects. * Experience installing containment systems. * Experience assisting with cable installation and first fix electrical works. * Own hand tools. * Full PPE. * Good communication skills. * Excellent timekeeping and reliability. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Hours & Pay * Monday to Friday. * 46.5 paid hours per week. * £21.00 per hour. * Weekly pay. * Immediate start available.
