My client is a rapidly growing manufacturer of bespoke cable assemblies and looms for the Aerospace, Defence, and Satellite sectors. Due to growth and winning of significant contracts, they are looking for a practical, "hands-on" Engineer to bridge the gap between customers and the production floor. This role would suit a hands-on Electrical Engineer who has experience within Cable Harnesses or Wiring Assembly, exposure to dealing with customers, and writing up work instructions for the Production shop floor.
Key Responsibilities of Electrical Engineer:
- Commercial: Handle technical customer enquiries and produce accurate quotations.
- Production Support: Develop prototypes and write clear work instructions for the assembly team.
- Compliance: Ensure all work meets AS9100 and industry-specific standards.
Requirements for the Electrical Engineer:
- Proven background in cable assemblies, wiring harnesses, or looms.
- Ability to read/interpret complex technical drawings.
- Strong communication skills for customer-facing technical support.
- Experience with AutoCAD (2D) is highly desirable.
