My client is a leading design and manufacturer within the automotive sector who have experienced year on year growth. In the last 6 years they have grown to employing over 500 staff and have built a reputation for being market leaders. Due to this growth as well as an extremely healthy order book, they are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join their Maintenance team. The role would suit a Maintenance Engineer who has experience with implementing a PPM or a Maintenance Supervisor who is willing to be hands on the tools as well as supervise. The role is 50% hands on maintenance and 50% management.
The role of Maintenance Supervisor:
- Planned, predictive and breakdown maintenance of all plant, equipment and facilities, specialising in electrical (Presses, Guillotines, Welding Equipment, Paint Equipment).
- Willingness to be hands on and lead from the front.
- Supervision of 1 Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, 1 Maintenance Coordinator, 1 Facilities Engineer and Contractors.
- Electrical installation.
- Inspection and testing of electrical installations.
- Electrical repair, fault finding and diagnosis.
- Continuous improvement and project experience to reduce downtime, cost, reliance on contractors.
- Coaching, developing, nurturing and training the maintenance team.
Ideally, the Maintenance Supervisor will:
- Be a time served electrical maintenance engineer.
- Have experience of planned, predictive and breakdown maintenance of manufacturing plant, equipment and facilities.
- Have experience maintaining Paint Shops and mixing units, cranes and welding equipment (preferred).
- Demonstrate flexibility.
- Be able to install, test, maintain and repair electrical systems in commercial/industrial buildings.
- Be qualified to 17th or 18th edition and NVQ Level 3.
- Be able to read and understand wiring of electrical components and circuits.
