My client is a rapidly growing manufacturer of bespoke cable assemblies and looms for the Aerospace, Defence, and Satellite sectors. Due to growth and winning of significant contracts they are looking for a practical, "hands-on" Engineer to bridge the gap between customers and the production floor. This role would suit a hands-on Electrical Engineer who has experience within Cable Harnesses or Wiring Assembly, exposure to dealing with customers and writing work instructions for the Production shop floor.

Key Responsibilities of Electrical Engineer

  • Commercial: Handle technical customer enquiries and produce accurate quotations.
  • Production Support: Develop prototypes and write clear work instructions for the assembly team.
  • Compliance: Ensure all work meets AS9100 and industry-specific standards.

Requirements for the Electrical Engineer

  • Proven background in cable assemblies, wiring harnesses, or looms.
  • Ability to read/interpret complex technical drawings.
  • Strong communication skills for customer-facing technical support.
  • Experience with AutoCAD (2D) is highly desirable.
