Your responsibilities:
- Technical support for DTV product development, device certification, and broadcasting standards development.
- Representing the company at technical meetings and forums such as DVB/HbbTV, Digital Europe etc.
- Ensuring that regional/national organizations have minimum deviation from harmonized global standards.
- Understanding requirements/specification and their impact to LG smart TV platforms.
- Delivery of content providers requirements/specification to HQ R&D & LG SI R&D, summarizing their impact on LG products.
- Identify new technology projects with content providers and broadcasters.
- Handling certification process and negotiation with broadcasters, cable/satellite/terrestrial service operators and content providers.
- Liaison between HQ R&D, Europe Subsidiaries, Test Laboratories and Operators for certification schedule & logistics management.
Your qualifications:
- ~10+ years Experience in DTV platforms (STB/iDTV/IPTV/connected TV software/broadcast industry).
- ~ Understanding and knowledge of TV Industry.
- ~ Expert in DVB specifications (e.g. DVB-DASH) and other TV standards in Europe (e.g. HbbTV).
- ~ Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating several tasks at the same time.
- ~ Knowledge and understanding of web technologies, media streaming technologies.
