The Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Finance and Accounting Team as a Finance & Accounting Assistant. Our Finance and Accounting Team processes and analyses all costing for LGEUK as a whole, ensuring that all budgets are adhered to by all departments, thus ensuring the company is generating maximum profits.
As a Finance & Accounting Assistant, you will be involved in a wide array of accounting tasks, from report preparation to payments review, bank statement reconciliation and cash flow forecasting.
Your Role & Responsibilities
- Liaise with other departments to get month end accruals with supporting documents
- Generate various inventory reports for the month end, analyse the variance and share with relevant departments
- Support the balance sheet reconciliation process and associated review activities, with a focus on ensuring compliance with accounting policies and enhancing quality and control of reconciliations
- Support the preparation of Company’s Annual report and Accounts to ensure they are accurately on time and approved by the external Auditors
- Co-ordination and management of Quarterly and year-end audit, main point of contact for external auditors
- Reviewing and approving expense claims
- Assisting with the management of banking operations including Accounts Payable activities, Supplier set up and corporate cards in the organisation whilst following strict due diligence policies
- Support payments management for mass payment, DD and same day wire payments
- Produce weekly & monthly reports for the team
Skills, Education & Experience
- Previous relevant experience in a similar role within a fast-paced business environment is essential
- Korean speaking is advantageous
- You must also be AAT/ACCA/CIMA/ACA part/fully qualified or have equivalent qualification
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Experience of Oracle based system is an advantage
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple work streams to tight deadlines
- Highly focused and capable of sustaining a fast pace in a dynamic environment
- Flexible and willing to adapt to changing business requirements
- Experience of working within a performance management environment – KPIs and Service Level Agreements
