LFUK Recruitment are seeking experienced Machine Operators to join our clients growing Production Team in the Kirkby area.

Hours of work either Monday to Friday or Sunday to Thursday 22:00-06:00
Rate of pay £15 per hour
Machine Operators will set and operate, Milling and Grinding machines, producing our innovative, precision parts, to an advanced specification and high quality standard.
What you’ll be doing as our Machine Operator:
* Produce precision parts on both Milling Machines and Surface Grinders.
* Interpret engineering drawings and job specifications to setup a wide range of milling and grinding operations on both repeat and new components.
* Setting up the machines by, loading material stock and inserting cutting tools into tool holders, ensuring accuracy of tool assembly by inspecting fit and runout.
* Clean and maintain machining centres including disposal of waste material.
* Champion continuous improvement and provide feedback to internal departments on the machining process.
* Process jobs as scheduled on the internal database as well as entering operational data regarding milling and job progression.
* Action Quality Issues and support all Non-Conformance meetings
* Support product and process optimisation in line with the quality needs of the business
* Maintain high levels of Health & Safety standards
The Skills, Knowledge and Experience you will need as our Machine Operator:
* Proven background in machining high specification, precision engineered parts.
* Identify and utilise best practice methods for work holding, tight tolerance machining and tooling.
* Fully experienced with machining of both standard and more exotic raw materials.
* Able to work to tight time lines and multi-task in a busy manufacturing environment.
* Fully competent with all types of inspection equipment, to verify component quality.
* Experience in operating in a 5S environment.
* Able to work to high safety and quality standard, with a variety of equipment and materials.
* The ability to work as part of a team and on your own with minimum supervision
* Excellent problem solving skills
Nice to have:
* HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline)
* CNC Machining experience
* Process improvement experience
