London Fire Solutions is a growing, compliance-led fire protection business, and we’re looking for a Training & Recruitment Officer to support our continued growth. This role sits at the centre of our people strategy. You’ll help us attract the right people, ensure they are trained and competent, and support the coordination of basic health & safety processes that underpin safe, compliant working on site. It’s a hands-on, practical role suited to someone who is organised, confident dealing with site-based teams, and comfortable working in a construction or trade-led environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment
- Coordinate recruitment for site operatives, supervisors and office-based roles
- Manage job adverts, CV screening, interviews and onboarding
- Work with managers to understand workforce requirements and future needs
- Support apprenticeships, trainees and entry-level recruitment pathways
- Help improve retention through structured onboarding and early support
- Coordinate internal and external training courses (trade, compliance and H&S-related)
- Maintain accurate training, competency and certification records
- Support and deliver structured inductions for new starters (office and site)
- Help develop clear training pathways and progression routes
- Liaise with training providers and industry bodies
- Support the coordination of basic health & safety activities across the business
- Maintain H&S-related training records (CSCS, asbestos awareness, manual handling, etc.)
- Assist with site induction content and toolbox talk coordination
- Support accident and incident reporting and record keeping
- Help ensure RAMS, inductions and training records are up to date
- Liaise with external health & safety consultants where required
About You
- Experience in recruitment, training coordination, HR, or a similar role
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Confident communicator, comfortable dealing with site operatives and managers
- Practical, hands-on approach with good attention to detail
- Basic understanding of health & safety in a construction or site-based environment
- IOSH Managing Safely (or willingness to work towards) is desirable but not essential
