We are looking for a reliable and professional Class 2 Collection Driver to join our team in Swadlincote. This role combines driving duties with warehouse and sortation support, ensuring pharmaceutical products are collected, handled, and transported safely within a regulated healthcare environment. This is a full‑time, permanent role working 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Typical working hours are 6:00 pm to 3:00 am. Hours may change depending on business needs; therefore flexibility is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and transport pharmaceutical products between depots and customer locations
  • Complete vehicle checks and ensure compliance with GDP, transport, and Working Time regulations
  • Accurately complete delivery paperwork and electronic records
  • Load and unload vehicles safely, ensuring product integrity at all times
  • Support warehouse operations including stock checking, picking, sorting, scanning, and dispatch preparation
  • Report any damages, discrepancies, or temperature-related issues promptly
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, safety, and compliance
  • Operate warehouse equipment, including pallet trucks and scanners (FLT where authorised)

What You'll Need

  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence (held for at least 3 years, with no more than 6 points)
  • Class 2 (Category C) Licence
  • Valid CPC
  • FLT licence desirable but not essential
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible and dependable approach to work

Experience

  • Previous professional driving experience
  • Experience delivering excellent customer service
  • Warehouse, logistics, or sortation experience preferred
  • Pharmaceutical or temperature-controlled transport experience advantageous (training provided)
