LFCS Legal, the trading name of Charmax LLP, is a modern and growing law firm providing practical, commercially focused and personalised legal services to individuals and businesses.
Our practice areas include Immigration, Family Law, Conveyancing, Corporate & Commercial Law, Probate & Estate Planning, and Dispute Resolution.
As part of our continued growth, we are looking to appoint an experienced and commercially minded conveyancing lawyer to build, lead and develop our Conveyancing Department.
The Opportunity
This is not a conventional fee-earner role.
We are looking for an experienced Solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer who is ready to take ownership of a department, develop its client base, strengthen introducer relationships, build a team and contribute directly to the long-term growth of the firm.
The successful candidate will have significant autonomy in shaping and developing the Conveyancing practice.
For the right individual, we are prepared to offer a highly attractive fee-sharing and profit participation structure, together with a genuine opportunity to join the firm as a Partner.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have an existing client following, introducer network, or a proven track record of generating new conveyancing work.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, lead and develop the firm’s Conveyancing Department.
- Manage residential conveyancing matters and, where appropriate, commercial property transactions.
- Handle sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, lease extensions and related property matters.
- Develop and maintain relationships with estate agents, mortgage brokers, developers, investors and other professional introducers.
- Actively generate new clients and new instructions.
- Develop systems, processes and workflows to support a growing conveyancing practice.
- Recruit, supervise and mentor junior lawyers and support staff as the department expands.
- Maintain high standards of compliance, risk management, file supervision and client care.
- Contribute strategically to the wider growth and development of LFCS Legal.
- Candidate Profile
- Are qualified Solicitors or Licensed Conveyancers in England and Wales.
- Have at least 7 years of substantial conveyancing experience.
- Have strong technical expertise in residential conveyancing and preferably commercial property.
- Have an existing client base, introducer relationships or demonstrable business development capability.
- Are commercially minded, entrepreneurial and growth-focused.
- Are confident building a department rather than simply servicing an existing caseload.
- Have experience supervising and developing junior staff.
- Possess strong client relationship, communication and organisational skills.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism, compliance and client care.
- Commercial Package
We believe that an experienced lawyer who can generate work, bring clients and build a successful department should participate meaningfully in the value they create.
For the right candidate, we are open to discussing
- A highly competitive share of fees generated;
- Profit participation linked to departmental performance;
- Additional incentives for business development and departmental growth;
- Significant autonomy in developing the practice;
- Support from the firm in expanding the department;
- A genuine opportunity to become a Partner of the firm.
The commercial structure will be tailored to reflect the candidate’s experience, client following, introducer relationships, business generation capability and overall contribution.
All applications and discussions will be treated in strict confidence.
