At Liverpool Football Club, we are currently recruiting Casual Safeguarding Stewards to support our safety team across matchdays and events. This role plays a key part in ensuring safeguarding concerns are identified, recorded and escalated appropriately, helping us to deliver a safe experience for all supporters, staff and visitors. This role is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check and references.
Responsibilities
- Acting as a point of contact for safeguarding incidents or concerns during matchdays and events.
- Recording and referring safeguarding information to the Stadium Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for action or consideration.
- Sharing relevant safeguarding information with stewarding teams within your allocated area, where appropriate.
- Observing and monitoring practice when colleagues engage with children, young people and vulnerable adults, recording concerns in line with safeguarding procedures.
- Supporting safeguarding audits, reviews and continuous improvement activity throughout the season.
- Communicating promptly with the Designated Lead for Safeguarding regarding any safeguarding issues or concerns.
- Maintaining up-to-date safeguarding knowledge through ongoing training and professional development.
Who we are looking for / Requirements
You Must Be Able To:
- Remain calm, professional and confident when responding to safeguarding concerns or sensitive situations.
- Observe, recognise and accurately record safeguarding concerns in line with agreed procedures.
- Use IT systems confidently to complete online incident reports and written records to a good standard.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and safeguarding leads.
You Must Demonstrate At Least One Of The Following:
- Previous experience in a safeguarding, stewarding, security or regulated environment OR Experience in a frontline role where you have dealt with vulnerable individuals, challenging situations or incidents requiring escalation.
Full safeguarding training will be provided; however, applicants must be willing to actively engage with ongoing training and development. This role is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory employment references. This is a casual position, offering variable hours including evenings and weekends on a flexible assignment basis.
