Our manufacturing client based in Southampton is looking for an Electro Mechanical Technician or Calibration Technician to join their team. While calibration experience/knowledge is preferred, there are further training opportunities for the right candidate if they have an electro-mechanical assembly, fitting, or maintenance background.
The primary role of the Electro Mechanical Technician will be to carry out mechanical and electrical repairs on equipment and to evaluate and adjust equipment to achieve true and accurate readings.
Key Responsibilities- Carrying out mechanical and/or electrical repairs to equipment.
- Working with the Operations team to achieve production targets.
- Once equipment calibration is completed, passing/scanning the results to create the certification.
- Labeling equipment with the date of calibration or repair carried out and the next due date.
- Some travel may be required for this role, but it may be as little as 1-2 times per year, nationally or internationally.
- While calibration experience is preferred, a background in either mechanical assembly or electronic/electrical basic fault finding with the ability to read drawings/instructions would also be considered.
- Any soldering and wiring experience would be an advantage.
- IT literate.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
- Clean driver’s license.
- £26,000 starting salary, which will increase with development and training.
- 08:30 - 17:00, Monday to Friday.
