Our clients have an exciting opportunity for a Service Engineer to join their growing team. The position offers opportunity to train, develop and progress. The Service Engineer will attend sites and conduct the following tasks although not limited:

  • Planned Preventative Maintenance
  • Emergency Callouts
  • Upgrades/Repairs
  • Installation and Commissioning works

We are seeking someone close to Basingstoke and happy to travel.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Carrying out routine/planned scheduled maintenance work
  • Responding to breakdown and equipment faults
  • Diagnosing breakdown problems and carry out first time fix
  • Fitting new parts and making sure equipment is working correctly prior to signing off
  • Liaising with client departments, customers and other engineering and production colleagues
  • Dealing with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs
  • Ensure van stock is controlled
  • To complete timesheets/expenses on a regular basis and submit on time
  • To ensure PPE is adequate for the H&S purpose and arrange for new kit to be ordered when required
  • Perform with an understanding of business requirements and support all continuous improvement activities
  • Respond to customer enquiries in a professional manner
  • Ensure report forms are completed accurately
  • Carry out such additional responsibilities as may be considered necessary by the Management Team

Required Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical systems
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Good customer service & communication skills
  • Happy to work at heights
  • Flexible to work a variety of hours - days & nights
  • Driving license is required for this position
