Care Worker – Flexible Live-in, Waking Night and Daytime Roles
L&F Care Services is looking for compassionate and reliable care workers to support individuals in Stotfold and Letchworth Garden City.
Ideally, we would like to appoint one person who can combine the live-in relief and waking-night work. The combined role provides 94 hours over a repeating three-week rota, averaging approximately 31 hours per week:
Week 1: Seven days of live-in relief care in Stotfold, working 10 hours per day with a two-hour uninterrupted daily break
Week 2: One 12-hour Wednesday waking-night shift
Week 3: One 12-hour Wednesday waking-night shift
However, we understand that this pattern will not suit everyone. We are therefore also happy to hear from people interested in only part of the available work, including:
One week of live-in relief cover every three weeks
Wednesday waking-night shifts in Letchworth Garden City
Two-hour afternoon break-cover shifts in Stotfold
Three-hour sit-in shifts in Letchworth Garden City on Tuesdays and Thursdays
A combination of the available work
Applicants should tell us which shifts or type of work they are interested in. Hours will be agreed according to the work accepted.
Responsibilities may include personal care, medication support, meal preparation, mobility support, companionship, reassurance and supporting individuals with their daily routines. You will follow care plans, maintain accurate records and report any changes or concerns appropriately.
A driving licence is not essential, but applicants must have a reliable way of travelling to the assignments for which they apply and, when combining work, between Stotfold and Letchworth Garden City.
Visa sponsorship is not available for these vacancies. Applicants must already have permission to undertake the hours and type of work for which they apply. People sponsored by another employer may apply for individual shifts where their immigration permission allows additional employment.
