We are looking for an organised and approachable Care Manager to lead our Letchworth Garden City service. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys developing staff, building positive relationships and maintaining high standards of care.
About the role
You will oversee the day-to-day running of the service, supporting the office team and care staff to deliver safe, reliable and personalised care.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing daily care operations, staffing and rota readiness.
Overseeing assessments, care plans and risk assessments, making sure they reflect each person’s needs, preferences and choices.
Supporting recruitment, induction, supervision and staff development.
Monitoring care delivery through audits, spot checks, feedback and reviews.
Responding to concerns, complaints and incidents, following up actions and sharing learning.
Maintaining accurate records and supporting inspection readiness.
Building positive relationships with clients, families, commissioners and other professionals.
Working with senior management to develop the service and introduce new care packages safely.
Participating in the on-call rota.
Experience supporting children and young people:
Experience working with children and young people, including those with disabilities or additional needs, would be welcomed but is not essential.
