Are you a recent accounting graduate looking to launch your career in one of the most dynamic areas of tax? We’re looking for an ambitious Graduate Tax Consultant to join our thriving Glasgow team. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your academic grounding in accounting and finance to real-world client work from day one, with a clear path for professional development.

Glasgow is one of the UK’s fastest-growing business hubs, home to a vibrant and diverse economy spanning financial services, life sciences, tech and manufacturing — all sectors with significant R&D activity. As part of our Glasgow team, you’ll be at the heart of that innovation, helping Scottish businesses unlock the funding they need to grow. Scotland consistently punches above its weight for R&D investment, and our Glasgow office is perfectly positioned to support that ambition. You’ll join a close-knit, high-performing team that takes its work seriously — and enjoys the city’s legendary social scene just as much.

As a Graduate Tax Consultant, you’ll learn all there is to know about R&D & Innovation Tax — working directly with clients to manage their R&D Tax Credit claims and advise on the financial aspects of their submissions. You’ll collaborate closely with our technical consultants to prepare R&D Tax Credit claims for HMRC, building your expertise in a niche and fast-growing area of UK tax. From early in your career, you’ll take ownership of a client portfolio, developing relationships with senior decision-makers and staying ahead of legislative and industry developments.

What We’re Looking For

  • A degree in Accounting & Finance (or related discipline) — 2:1 or above preferred
  • A strong analytical mindset and the ability to communicate complex information clearly and confidently
  • Ambition to pursue professional qualifications (ACA, ACCA, ATT or CTA) — we’ll support you
  • A collaborative approach and the confidence to influence and engage with clients at all levels
  • UK Corporation Tax knowledge gained through your degree is a bonus; R&D Tax experience is not expected

We welcome applications from graduates who are eager to learn. If you’re driven, intellectually curious and ready to hit the ground running, we want to hear from you.

The Package

  • £36,000+ salary, OTE £44,000
  • Private Healthcare
  • Dental Insurance
  • 5% Company Pension (matched contribution)
  • Employee Wellbeing Programme supporting physical and mental health
  • Cycle to Work Scheme
