About the Company

Your sales skills belong here — whatever industry you're coming from. If you know how to open doors, build relationships, and close deals, we want to talk. At Leyton, we're not looking for someone who's already worked in tax or finance — we're looking for someone who's brilliant at winning new business and ready to do something genuinely meaningful with that talent. We help UK businesses claim the government-backed funding they're already entitled to — through R&D tax credits, capital allowances, and other innovation incentives. It's a compelling, consultative sale with real impact, and our Manchester team is growing.

About the Role

You'll own your pipeline from prospecting to close — identifying opportunities, getting in front of the right decision-makers (think CFOs, Finance Directors, and MDs), and bringing new clients on board. Once you've won the business, you'll hand off to our expert delivery team, so you can focus on what you do best: selling.

Responsibilities

  • Building and working a targeted prospect list through outreach, networking, and referrals
  • Running consultative conversations with senior stakeholders to uncover fit and communicate value
  • Leading proposals and presentations that land
  • Managing your pipeline accurately in our CRM
  • Staying across market trends to sharpen your commercial edge
  • Hitting — and ideally beating — quarterly and annual revenue targets

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years' experience in a new business sales role — industry doesn't matter, hunger does
  • A track record of closing, not just generating leads
  • Comfortable selling at C-suite or senior finance level
  • Self-starter who can manage their own territory and time
  • Curious, commercially minded, and motivated by results

Required Skills

A high-value, consultative product that sells itself once clients understand it.

Preferred Skills

Full training and onboarding — no tax knowledge required on day one.

Pay range and compensation package

Competitive base salary + uncapped commission. The backing of a global business (3,000 people, €400m turnover) with an entrepreneurial culture.

Equal Opportunity Statement

We are committed to diversity and inclusivity.
