As Head of Marketing, you will take ownership of that evolution, leading strategy and execution of the club's annual marketing strategy, and shaping how the club grows its audience and strengthens its brand.

The Impact You'll Make

Leyton Orient is looking for a Head of Marketing to lead and develop its marketing function, aligning with commercial, ticketing, retail, fan engagement, and brand objectives. This is a role with real scope. You will own the marketing strategy, work closely with senior leadership, and have the opportunity to influence how the club grows its fanbase and drives revenue. From campaign planning through to performance analysis, you will see the direct impact of your work across every touchpoint.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and delivery of the club’s marketing strategy, aligned to commercial and fan engagement objectives.
  • Develop and deliver a long-term marketing strategy, giving focus to growing the club’s supporter base and attracting more local people to the football club.
  • Deliver high-impact, integrated campaigns across key moments, including season tickets, memberships, and kit launches.
  • Analyse the impact of club marketing campaigns and behaviours of supporters; identify and introduce methods to increase supporter engagement and spend with the club.
  • Oversee the development, management, and optimisation of the club’s CRM system, ensuring accurate, timely, and complete supporter data across ticketing, retail, hospitality, membership, and loyalty channels.
  • Manage and develop email campaigns, ensuring relevant and timely messaging to supporters.
  • Lead the strategic development, growth, and daily management of the O’s Cash Loyalty Scheme, ensuring it delivers added value for supporters and drives increased engagement, attendance, and spending across the club.
  • Manage the marketing budget and make data-driven decisions when allotting its spend towards external resources and paid advertising, including on social media channels.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in a senior marketing role, ideally within professional sport.
  • Track record of delivering campaigns that drive audience growth and revenue.
  • Strong understanding of customer data, segmentation, and targeted communication.
  • Experience in building and leading a small and high-performing team, and the ability to allocate tasks effectively to ensure best use of time across the department.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Excellent project management and campaign tracking skills, with a focus on using data to inform decisions and measure impact.
