This global interior product manufacturer with a UK office is seeking a Head of Specification to lead a team of 3 field-based specification sales executives covering the UK.

You will be tasked with providing a strategy and vision for what specification sales should look like and how the company can increase market share.

Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring of the team and ensuring each team member understands how their role fits within the wider sales and specification sales strategy is crucial for this role.

You will also be tasked with developing a customer excellence and results-driven culture within the team, driving new opportunities and setting targets across specification sales for growth in market share.

Part of your role will also include gaining specification of the company’s product range through engagement with architects, interior designers, and specifiers. Sectors include education, healthcare, retail, hospitality, leisure, transport, laboratories, and offices.

Once a specification has been obtained, the required project information will then be passed over to the fabrication field sales team who will close the sale.

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Margining budgets and identifying opportunities to grow existing relationships with profitable strategies.
  2. Implement strategy for new specification opportunities.
  3. Achievement of sales and margin budgets.
  4. Meet/exceed new business targets and keep abreast of specification market intelligence and trends.
  5. Organise and book meetings/CPDs/Lunch & Learns, manage own diary, and attend events across the UK and at the company’s northern head office.

On offer is a salary of up to £65,000 (maybe more depending on experience) plus car allowance, company matched pension, bonus, and 25 days plus bank holidays.
