A growing and well-established business within the technical building products sector is looking to recruit a driven Business Development Executive to join its sales team based in Hertfordshire. This is an office and field based role where you’ll be responsible for identifying and winning new customers across a range of sectors.
In this position, you will be proactive in outbound activity, identifying and engaging new prospects while building a consistent pipeline of opportunities. The role is focused on new business development, with success coming from regular outreach, strong questioning skills, and the ability to convert conversations into long-term, profitable customer relationships.
Day to day, you will be working in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on outbound activity, following up on leads, progressing opportunities and keeping your pipeline and CRM records up to date with daily activity. The role is best suited to someone who enjoys a fast-paced sales role and takes pride in hitting and exceeding activity and revenue goals.
The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years’ experience in sales or business development, and will be confident in outbound prospecting and comfortable working towards clear targets. Strong communication skills, resilience, and a proactive mindset are key, along with a willingness to learn and develop within a technical product environment.
On offer is a salary of £38,000.
