The Project Support reports to the project lead, a UNIX systems specialist, and is responsible for migrating services from existing Linux virtual machines and Linux containers to the new VMs on new infrastructure, using the existing ansible framework, following standard procedures.
Accountabilities:
- Work with internal users to confirm ongoing requirements for existing services.
- Build and customize VMs on existing virtualization infrastructure using existing automation framework working with internal users to coordinate service migration from old to new infrastructure.
- Document requirements, workflows and systems.
Specific Qualifications/Experience:
- Demonstrable experience managing Linux servers.
- Experience managing Red Hat based systems or clones would be an advantage.
- Demonstrable experience managing Linux systems using ansible.
- Experience using git as version control systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
