The predicted salary is between 28350 - 34650 £ per year.
To work as part of the installation team carrying out works detailed below to deliver customer projects.
- Network cabinet installations
- Primary & Secondary containment system installations
- Installation of Cat6 or Cat6A horizontal cabling solutions
- Termination, Testing & labelling of Cat6 / Cat6A solutions
- Network switch installation
- Copper patching
- Installation of fibre optic cable both internally & via pit and duct routes as required.
- Termination, Testing of fibre optic cables
- Fibre circuit patching & trouble shooting with the use of an OTDR.
BPSS will be required. Any additional certifications/ trainings would be a plus (IPAF, PASMA, Confined Space, ECS card, Asbestos awareness, First aid, Full UK driving licence).
Roles & Responsibilities
- Sign In/on the Office/Site Fire register.
- Attend DABS/NABS Brief
- Understand Planned Works – as per Project Installation Method
- All relevant H&S info is available and understood.
- Sign Out / In materials from stores required for works.
- Maintain tidy work areas.
- Complete all H&S forms per task each shift.
- Setup site & maintain site as per the RAMS.
- Complete Point of Work Risk assessments and safe systems of work are reviewed and carried out before work commences, and that any risks are communicated to the team.
- Complete all plant inspections, including power, hand tools and test instruments, are checked, that they are in good and safe condition, and that any defects are reported to the plant Hire Company or Line Manager.
- Report any misuse or inadequate first-aid facilities during working hours.
- All employees to raise any concerns for their health and safety at their workplace, and for improving our health and safety performance generally and passing this onto the Health & Safety and Line Manager.
- Set a personal example, including the wearing or use of protective clothing or equipment as appropriate.
- Ensure all safety measures which are in place apply to third parties and sub-contractors.
- Check all permits and ensure that they are relevant and appropriate for the scheduled works.
- Update all relevant project information as detailed in the job packs issued to them.
- Ensure that all plant is stored, used correctly and on charge after use.
- Make sure that all process as detailed out in the project folder/job pack are adhered to and reported on.
- Report incidents which have led or may lead to injury.
- Quality Assurance – Completion of QA Doc’s.
- Daily shift update reports at the end of each shift.
