Your expertise as a Diagnostic Technician involves interpreting complex error codes and performing precise troubleshooting to pinpoint mechanical or electrical issues. You play a critical role in maintaining vehicle performance and reducing downtime by providing accurate repairs and maintenance recommendations. This position demands expertise in automotive systems, electrical components, and industry-standard diagnostic tools for accurate fault detection and timely maintenance.
Ideally, we are looking for candidates with previous Toyota experience; however, other franchise diagnostic experience will be considered.
Key Tasks- Undertake diagnostic activities to identify causes and solutions for customer vehicle issues.
- Conduct electronic visual health checks on all vehicles and provide a comprehensive report with expert advice and recommendations for customers.
- Complete scheduled vehicle servicing in line with manufacturer guidelines.
- Liaise directly with customers and service advisors, providing outstanding customer service.
- Ensure vehicle servicing activities are completed in a safe and high-quality manner, in line with both internal and manufacturer requirements.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to ensure product and service knowledge is up to date.
- Assist and coach your colleagues with technical assistance.
- Maintain a clean & safe work bay.
- Relevant City & Guilds, BTEC or NVQ accreditation.
- Previous work experience in a franchise dealership.
- Highly skilled in fault diagnosis.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Commitment to delivering first-class customer service.
- Able to plan, organise self and meet agreed work deadlines.
- Full Clean Driving Licence Required.
