We are looking for a skilled Immigration Solicitor to join our reputable legal team. The successful candidate will bring extensive experience in handling immigration matters, proven experience handling a diverse range of immigration cases from initial consultation through to resolution with a particular focus on Asylum, Modern Slavery, and Unlawful Detention cases. This role involves working closely with clients on often critical and time-sensitive issues, providing clear, strategic legal guidance in accordance with current immigration laws.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clear and accurate legal advice to clients regarding immigration options and requirements.
  • Manage a caseload of immigration matters, including but not limited to:
    • Judicial Review applications
    • Asylum claims and appeals
    • Modern Slavery referrals (NRM) and related applications
    • Unlawful Detention claims
  • Ensure compliance with SRA.
  • Oversee the preparation and progression of cases, including coordinating with caseworkers and supervising documentation.
  • Stay informed on legislative changes and case law developments affecting immigration and public law.

Skills Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales (1.5 years PQE or above)
  • Proven experience handling Judicial Review and public law immigration matters
  • In-depth knowledge of asylum procedures, trafficking protections, and detention-related issues
  • Experience in Judicial Review matters and Appeals is desirable.
  • Strong drafting, advocacy, and negotiation skills.
