You will manage client companies and undertake business development towards clients. Manage client interests: coordinate legal, administrative and banking activities for clients. Fully understand the client’s activities and ensure actions are consistent with the client company’s purpose and within legal and economic frameworks. Manage a complex portfolio of trusts in accordance with the Trust instrument, legislation, case law, and practice. Handle trust terminations following events like death of a life tenant, coming of age, or others, ensuring proper procedures. Manage estates where the company acts as executor/administrator or under a power of attorney, following relevant legislation. Develop existing and new business relations, expand client base, and seek referrals. Serve as the main contact for clients regarding day-to-day business matters. Coordinate tax, administrative, and banking issues of client companies. Supervise and coordinate work of paralegals and accountants, including documentation processing. Maintain responsibility for client files and ensure client companies are in good legal standing.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Preferably a law or tax degree at university level
- Good command of English
- Good presentation and client-oriented skills
- Several years of experience in a similar role, trust services, or law firm
- STEP qualification or equivalent is a plus but not mandatory
- Experience managing complex trust portfolios requiring legal, accounting, taxation, and investment knowledge
- Experience in London is preferred
- Advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Problem-solving ability, proactive, independent worker but also a team player
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Stress-resistant, and able to meet tight deadlines
