We are looking for a Strategic Business Development Lead to work closely with our sales teams to shape and progress complex enterprise opportunities. In this senior, consultative pre‐sales role, you will build trusted relationships with senior legal stakeholders, lead meaningful discovery conversations, and design tailored demonstrations that clearly show how LexisNexis solutions support modern legal workflows. You will play a key role in helping prospective customers understand the value of our services and make confident, informed decisions.

  • Partner with Account Executives and Strategic Account Managers to research prospects, shape pursuit strategies, and progress opportunities from qualification through to close (new business and expansion).
  • Engage senior stakeholders within law firms and in‐house legal teams to understand their priorities and position LexisNexis as a trusted partner in legal technology and workflow improvement.
  • Lead structured discovery and workflow analysis to identify challenges, decision-makers, opportunities for improvement, and measurable value.
  • Translate complex legal workflows into clear, relevant use cases and solution approaches aligned to client and practice‐area goals.

Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales, with experience working in legal practice or in‐house environments is required. Professional experience in a leading law firm or complex corporate setting, with exposure to client‐facing or stakeholder‐facing work is preferred. Experience within corporate, finance, disputes/litigation, or other complex practice areas, or transferable experience working with sophisticated legal matters is beneficial.

The ability to build credibility with senior legal stakeholders through thoughtful communication, subject‐matter understanding, and professional presence is essential. Confidence delivering clear, engaging presentations and demonstrations to both legal and business audiences is necessary. A strong understanding of legal workflows and interest in how technology and AI can enable better service delivery is important.
