Our well established client is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Family Law Solicitor to join their legal team. In this role, you will handle a wide range of family law matters, providing expert legal advice and representation to clients navigating complex family disputes. Your energetic approach and strong negotiation skills will help clients achieve favourable outcomes while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in clients' lives through compassionate and proactive legal support.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse caseload of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, visitation rights, spousal support, and property settlements.
  • Provide clear, comprehensive legal advice to clients on their rights, obligations, and options throughout the legal process.
  • Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, settlement agreements, parenting plans, and court filings with precision and attention to detail.
  • Negotiate settlements effectively to resolve disputes amicably while advocating fiercely for clients' best interests.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and alternative dispute resolution sessions with confidence and professionalism.
  • Conduct thorough legal research using tools like LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and stay updated on relevant laws including tribal law and regulations, immigration law, and other specialized areas.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, patent law, and landlord-tenant law to provide holistic legal solutions when needed.

Proven expertise in family law with strong litigation experience and excellent legal drafting skills. Exceptional negotiation abilities to facilitate settlements that satisfy client goals while maintaining professional integrity. Proficiency in legal research platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw for comprehensive case analysis. Strong writing skills for preparing clear pleadings, reports, and correspondence. Experience with legal administrative processes including case management systems within a law office setting. Knowledge of related practice areas such as estate planning, immigration law, environmental law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law and regulations, patent law, landlord-tenant law. Ability to analyse complex legal issues quickly and communicate effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.
