About the Role
We are looking for a Systems Engineer to support enterprise systems through research, design, systems engineering, operational support, and change management activities. In this role, you will help maintain system stability, troubleshoot complex technical issues, support automation initiatives, and work closely with development, support, and vendor teams to deliver reliable technology solutions.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system, application, and performance issues across multiple environments.
- Configure controls, install programs, and resolve technical issues within enterprise system environments.
- Create and maintain scripts to support workload processing and automation of common tasks.
- Monitor systems, respond to alerts, and provide prompt recovery and escalation for operational exceptions.
- Collaborate with development teams, support groups, and vendors to coordinate activities and resolve issues.
- Support system monitoring, reporting improvements, and problem recovery efforts.
- Manage and support change implementation, service requests, and operational processes.
- Create, execute, document, and close tasks, changes, and requests in accordance with team standards.
Requirements
- Experience in systems engineering and operational support environments.
- Understanding of storage systems, Linux kernel, UNIX kernel, UNIX file systems, and Windows infrastructure.
- Knowledge of program installation and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with virtual server environments and thin client technologies.
- Knowledge of scripting and automation techniques.
- Understanding of system management and problem management tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
