The UK Legislation Editorial Quality Lead defines and delivers the regional quality strategy for statutory and regulatory content, ensuring it is accurate, consistent, AI-ready, and aligned with LexisNexis’ online-first transformation. This individual contributor role reports to the Global Head of Legislation and works closely with Editorial Managers, Product, Technology, and global stakeholders to drive measurable improvements in customer experience and support the ongoing development of AI-optimised, quality-focused workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver the UK & Ireland quality strategy aligned with global standards and digital‑first transformation goals, acting as the regional quality expert.
- Build and refine quality controls, checklists, and best practices.
- Conduct audits and spot checks to ensure accuracy and structural consistency.
- Define and report on quality metrics.
- Analyse audit results, customer feedback, and error trends to identify root causes and drive sustainable improvements.
- Partner with Technology and Product teams to develop and adopt AI‑supported quality tools.
- Embed quality checkpoints into online‑first publishing processes.
- Work cross‑functionally to harmonize standards, optimize workflows, and support digital and AI‑driven editorial operations.
- Deliver training on quality standards, audit processes, and AI tools.
- Provide clear, executive‑ready reporting on performance, risks, and progress.
Requirements:
- Law degree or equivalent highly desirable.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in legal editorial roles with a strong focus on quality assurance and compliance.
- Proven ability to design and implement quality frameworks and audit processes.
- Familiarity with AI-driven editorial workflows and digital publishing standards.
- Experience with quality management systems, audit methodologies, and error categorisation and proficiency in XML, content management systems, and data analysis tools.
- Exposure to multi-jurisdictional legislative content and global quality initiatives (desirable).
- Excellent communication and influencing skills across global teams.
- Ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable improvements.
- Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, change-driven environment.
- AI fluency and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Occasional travel for stakeholder meetings or internal collaboration.
