About the team: You will be joining an existing team of delivery managers, each responsible for supporting their own product development squads and projects. The team is embedded in the daily life of the business working very closely with stakeholders and trusted by them to help steer delivery and ways of working. We are a close-knit team and meet daily to discuss issues and areas of common interest.

About the role: LexisNexis Risk Solutions is seeking a passionate and collaborative Delivery Manager to manage value delivery and ensure successful outcomes for initiatives supported by our Cardiff-based Agile software development team. You will oversee multiple projects or products simultaneously, ensuring coordination and alignment across different teams or initiatives.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate excellent communication and inclusive leadership skills, proven technical proficiency, a commitment to quality, a passion for business outcomes, a high level of emotional intelligence and personal and team accountability for all deliverables, communications, and overall performance. Alongside great soft skills and behaviors, you should have proficiency in governance, planning, process improvement and reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Support 2-3 cross-functional agile product development teams as they deliver features and complex capabilities – from planning stages through to delivery and ongoing iteration
  • Work closely with your teams and dependent teams to identify and remove roadblocks, manage risks, whilst maintaining delivery momentum
  • Work closely with the Software Development Lead and Product Owner to ensure that the teams remain closely synchronized and upcoming features are well planned
  • Encourage a culture of team-driven decision making and commitment
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and team members, fostering effective communication and collaboration
  • Provide proactive visibility and effectively communicate delivery targets, commitments and progress
  • Ensure timely use of project and technology tools to help drive accountability
  • Ensure key metrics, resources and budgets are tracked and kept up to date
  • Make recommendations for improvements to existing processes and procedures

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience of Responsibilities section
  • Proven experience in delivery project management within Agile environments.
  • Knowledge, & application of Scrum and/or Kanban frameworks.
  • Experience managing web-based application projects that offer both user-friendly interfaces and API access.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify complex issues.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment, managing multiple priorities.
  • Proven experience collaborating within matrixed or shared team environments.
  • Actively engaged in project and delivery management communities, contributing to best practices and continuous improvement.
