About the role

We’re looking for a UX Designer I to help shape intuitive, effective user experiences across our products. You’ll work as part of a collaborative product team, partnering with Product, Engineering, Research, and Design to turn customer needs and business goals into clear, usable digital experiences. This role is ideal for a designer who is growing in confidence, enjoys solving customer problems, and wants to develop their craft in a supportive product environment. You’ll contribute across the design process, from problem framing and concept development through to wireframes, prototyping, iteration, and delivery, while working within established design systems and UX standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Translate customer needs, product requirements, and research inputs into clear UX concepts, user flows, wireframes, and prototypes.
  • Apply customer-centred frameworks such as personas, journey maps, and Jobs To Be Done to support product and experience design.
  • Explore multiple design options, ask effective questions, and contribute thoughtful ideas to problem-solving discussions.
  • Work closely with UX Research, Product, and Engineering to understand user needs, validate solutions, and refine designs.
  • Use data, customer insight, and testing outcomes to inform design decisions and support continuous improvement.
  • Work within established design patterns, style guides, and design systems, while contributing to their ongoing evolution where appropriate.
  • Communicate design rationale clearly to stakeholders and support effective handoff and implementation with development teams.
  • Stay informed about market developments, competitor activity, and emerging practices relevant to the product space.

Requirements:

  • Experience in UX design, or early-career experience supported by strong relevant project or placement work.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates UX thinking, design process, rationale, and delivery across digital products or features.
  • Experience creating UX artefacts such as user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and process diagrams.
  • Proficiency in Figma and confidence using design and prototyping tools to communicate ideas effectively.
  • Experience working with established design systems, patterns, or style guides.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, Research, and other stakeholders.
  • An evidence-based approach to design, with experience using research, feedback, testing, or data to improve solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, curiosity, and a growth mindset, with a willingness to keep developing design and technical capability.
