About the team: The role will report into the Head of Managed Services – Managed Services is an operation responsible for handling customer data, processing it through our products, services and people, and supplying up to date information back to our customers on their consumer base.
About the role
The Technical Solutions Consultant – CDM (Customer Data Management) position is a newly created role responsible for delivering bespoke data management solutions to our customers. The role will provide solutions to a customer’s specific use case whilst understanding our matching logic and products and using that knowledge to shape the solution. This will include understanding customer’s use cases and permitted purposes and then translating what a customer needs to what is available to them. The role will also provide escalation support to create, sustain, and enhance customer-generated revenue for the Managed Services team.
The TSC will have access to powerful software and applications that will aid the solving of data manipulation issues, and they will utilise their own data literacy and harness the available functionality to create successful outcomes for our customers via seamless internal process.
To hit our proposed targets in 2025 we will have to increase our efficiency in terms of project delivery as we will be engaging with more customers than in previous years.
Responsibilities:
- Processing complex files and building bespoke solutions for customers.
- Marrying customer need/expectation directly to operational process – how can we ensure Ops process maximises the positive impact on the customer, and balances business and customer need.
- Work with stakeholders across the Operation, VSC function, Sales teams and Customers on any given new opportunity development, to avoid disconnects, mistakes and delays as we engage and onboard a new customer.
- Use available software and applications to ensure projects are delivered as efficiently as possible, overcoming formatting challenges, improve our Quality Assurance approach on files, streamline operational process, and meet prospective customers’ use cases and then implemented successfully to meet/surpass customer expectation.
- Develop an expert understanding of our Products, with the aim of explaining output in detail to customers and make recommendations on what will meet their needs.
- Data analysis and investigation to address customer queries or concerns regarding their outcomes.
- Upskilling the operational team to be able to hand off bespoke process into BAU.
- Process improvement – assessing current process and looking for streamlining or automation opportunities, reduce risk, or improve accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Excellent consultative skills with the ability to collaborate and to explore options.
- Good data literacy skills - someone who understands how to manipulate, interrogate data, and present results back in clear concise way. Demonstrate knowledge of the concepts/language that evidences this literacy, such as Data Studio programs, SQL, advanced Excel etc. and deploy this knowledge to effectively resolve issues, while valuing customer needs as high priority.
- Be able to demonstrate a logical and innovative approach to problem solving and data manipulation. Comfortable in building solutions into a specific output.
- Works independently and is curious and proactive in relation to shaping their role, owning their responsibilities and delivering outcomes.
- Advanced oral and written communication skills - must be able to communicate data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including the ability to deliver customer presentations and performance/results analysis.
