About Our Team

At LexisNexis Intellectual Property Solutions, our mission is to enable the advancement of humanity by delivering better outcomes to the innovation community. Our analytics and workflow solutions empower innovators, IP leaders, and enterprise strategy teams to make confident, data-driven decisions. Portfolio Intelligence represents the strategic analytics core of our IP portfolio. Through PatentSight+ and Protégé, we transform global patent data into decision-grade intelligence that helps enterprise customers benchmark portfolios, evaluate competitive positioning, identify white space, and guide investment and M&A decisions. This domain is central to our AI monetization strategy and a primary driver of revenue growth within the IP portfolio.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven product leader to serve as Senior Director, Product Portfolio Intelligence. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you will lead the strategic analytics domain of our IP portfolio and own both PatentSight+ and Protégé (Portfolio Intelligence workflows). In this role, you will be accountable for domain strategy, revenue expansion, AI-enabled workflow adoption, and execution excellence. You will lead cross-functional product teams focused on benchmarking, competitive intelligence, technology landscaping, and executive-ready reporting—ensuring measurable business impact. This is a revenue-accountable leadership role at the center of our AI and analytics growth strategy. You will work closely with Commercial leadership, the CTO organization, and the Data Products domain to deliver differentiated, scalable, and trustworthy intelligence solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Domain Leadership: Partnering with executive leadership to define and execute the Portfolio Intelligence strategy aligned with corporate priorities. Translating long-term vision into measurable quarterly outcomes and ensuring roadmap alignment with revenue expansion and retention goals.
  • Revenue & Growth Ownership: Driving ARR growth, upsell penetration, and net revenue retention within the PatentSight+ customer base. Expanding Protégé workflow adoption and partnering with Commercial teams to unlock expansion opportunities and increase average order value.
  • AI-Enabled Workflow Acceleration: Leading integration of semantic layers and canonical data into Protégé workflows. Ensuring explainability, trust, and defensibility of AI-generated insights. Expanding persona coverage beyond core analysts and delivering differentiated insight experiences.
  • Competitive Intelligence & Technology Modeling: Overseeing taxonomy governance, clustering methodologies, and portfolio segmentation standards. Maintaining benchmarking integrity and delivering high-quality comparative analytics that serve as executive-grade decision tools.
  • Cross-Domain & Platform Collaboration: Working closely with the Data Products domain to consume canonical data and prevent duplication of metric logic or schema definitions. Partnering with the CTO organization on architecture evolution and participating in Architecture Review Board governance.
  • Product Leadership & Execution Excellence: Leading Directors, Group Product Managers, and Senior PMs within the domain. Strengthening delivery predictability, improving QPP discipline, reducing scope volatility, and building a strong leadership bench capable of scaling the domain.

What Success Looks Like

Within 12 months, you will have:

  • Materially increased Protégé adoption across PatentSight+ customers
  • Improved upsell penetration and average order value
  • Achieved net retention above target thresholds
  • Reduced cross-domain friction with Data Platform teams
  • Established clear quarterly commitments with >85% predictability
  • Strengthened market differentiation in portfolio benchmarking and strategic IP intelligence

Requirements

  • Experience: Proven experience in senior product leadership roles (12+ years), with ownership of significant B2B SaaS analytics or decision intelligence portfolios. Demonstrated track record of driving revenue growth, delivering AI-enabled workflows at scale, and leading Directors and senior product managers.
  • Expertise: Strong strategic and commercial acumen, with deep understanding of analytics-driven decision tools. Ability to translate complex data into executive-grade insights. Experience collaborating closely with Engineering and Commercial leadership in high-growth, AI-transformation environments.
  • Leadership Capabilities: Exceptional cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills. Demonstrated ability to operate in a matrixed organization, influence senior stakeholders, and balance platform integrity with customer-facing innovation. Outcome-driven prioritization discipline and a bias toward measurable impact.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Intellectual Property, legal technology, enterprise analytics platforms, or intelligence tools. Familiarity with large-scale data ecosystems, semantic modeling, and AI-powered insight generation.
