About the team

This position is part of the LNRS Insurance Contracts Team, which operates within Operations.

The team works closely with Sales, Legal, Product, and Analytics to make sure deals are accurately captured, approved, and documented.

They’re responsible for drafting contracts based on the agreed commercials and terms, and they diligently track any non-standard provisions.

It’s always busy, with a wide range of internal stakeholders involved, so collaboration and attention to detail are key.

About the role : The Commercial Contracts Analyst will provide operational support across the full customer contract lifecycle within the Lexis Nexis Risk Solutions Insurance business.

The role is primarily focused on contract creation, administration, execution and governance activities, whilst also supporting the implementation of contractual commercial terms into finance and billing systems.

The successful candidate will act as a key link between Commercial Contracts, Legal, Sales, Finance, Billing Operations and Delivery teams, ensuring contracts are accurately drafted, executed and maintained while supporting billing and revenue processes.

This role is ideal for an individual with strong contract management skills, commercial awareness, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Contract Creation & Commercial Support (70%)
  • Prepare and manage customer contract documentation including Orders, Amendments, Statements of Work, Schedules, SLAs and Product Appendices.
  • Draft agreements using approved templates and clause libraries.
  • Manage contract review and approval processes.
  • Coordinate contract execution through Docu Sign and internal governance workflows.
  • Maintain contract repositories, trackers and reporting tools.
  • Support Deal Review Board activities and governance processes.
  • Manage customer and internal contractual queries.
  • Liaise with Legal on non-standard contractual requests.
  • Support contract renewal and amendment activities.
  • Create and maintain process documentation and contract playbooks.
  • Monitor contractual obligations, expirations and key milestones.
  • Billing & Revenue Support (30%)
  • Review executed contracts and translate commercial terms into billing instructions.
  • Support setup of customer billing arrangements within finance systems.
  • Validate contract pricing and invoicing schedules.
  • Support annual renewal billing activities.
  • Process amendments affecting invoicing and billing schedules.
  • Assist with monthly billing validation and exception resolution.
  • Support commercial audits and billing controls.
  • Process Improvement & Stakeholder Management
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen contract lifecycle controls and handoffs into billing.
  • Build strong relationships across Commercial Contracts, Legal, Finance, Sales, Product, Operations and Delivery teams.
  • Support the development of reporting, tracking and operational metrics for contract status, renewals and billing readiness.

Requirements

Essential

  • Experience in contract administration, legal operations or commercial contract management.
  • Experience drafting or managing commercial agreements.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret commercial terms and conditions.
  • Experience working with document management and e-signature platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines.

Desirable

  • Exposure to billing, invoicing or revenue operations.
  • Knowledge of contract lifecycle management systems.
  • Understanding of contract-to-cash processes.
  • Experience within subscription or Saa S environments.
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Salesforce, Oracle or similar ERP/billing systems.
