About the Role

As an In‑House Senior Editor for eBioMedicine, you will oversee the peer‑review and publication of original content. You will identify experts to act as peer reviewers to ensure we publish high‑quality content. Your attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks will be critical in maintaining our standards. You will build global relationships with people and institutes in the translational research community to identify new material, authors, subject experts, and content opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Arranging peer‑review and commissioning content to ensure the successful and timely publication of high‑quality translational research.
  • Staying up to date with the latest literature and research developments.
  • Engaging in conferences and academic meetings, along with site visits to develop and maintain links with the international research community.
  • Writing editorials, commissioning reviews and commentaries and publishing correspondence to build the journal’s profile among the communities we serve.
  • Sub‑editing material from all sections of our journal to improve clarity of expression and to conform to journal style.

Requirements

  • Higher degree in a relevant discipline with post‑doctoral research experience or previous editorial experience.
  • Ability to communicate fairly and constructively with members of the translational research community.
  • Demonstrate broad knowledge of biological and medical sciences.
  • Have an exceptional command of the English language and the ability to write in an engaging manner.
  • Be able to travel internationally for meetings and conferences.
