About the role: You will work with team on daily activities involving the design, management, maintenance, and utilization of databases. Provide leadership and drive strategy, standards, and processes for applicable database environments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the maintenance and performance of database systems and related technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and deliver infrastructure updates and releases.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to database administrators.
- Identify and resolve performance issues, ensuring system stability and security.
- Evaluate and implement improvements to database architecture and processes.
- Support team development through coaching, feedback, and inclusive leadership.
- Promote innovation and accountability within the team.
Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrate SQL server and Postgres experience
- Very good interpersonal and mentoring abilities to support team development and collaboration.
- In-depth knowledge of database infrastructure, including maintenance, administration, and design.
- Proven ability to analyse and resolve database performance and connectivity issues.
