We create a comprehensive view of commodities markets, providing companies with the data and intelligence to successfully navigate across global value chains every day. Our customers benefit from instant access to price assessments, reports and forecasts, a dedicated news channel, and supply and demand data.

About the Team

You will join a high-performing, globally distributed marketing team focused on driving commercial impact through clear, differentiated positioning and high-quality execution. The team works closely with commercial, product and regional stakeholders to translate market insight into compelling propositions, ensuring consistency and clarity across all external communications.

About the Role

We are looking for a commercially minded Head of Proposition Marketing to sit at the centre of ICIS' marketing production engine. This is a pivotal role responsible for translating commercial insight, product capability and market context into clear, compelling market-facing propositions that drive growth. You will act as the critical link between what ICIS knows and what the market hears—shaping messaging, defining narrative frameworks, and ensuring all marketing activation is grounded in strong commercial propositions. You will work closely with the Marketing Director, Head of Brand & Content, and commercial and product leadership, contributing directly to Value Leadership Teams (VLTs).

Responsibilities

  • Translate commercial insight, product capability and market context into clear, differentiated value propositions
  • Develop messaging frameworks, narrative structures and campaign foundations
  • Own the connection between business insight and external communication
  • Own the marketing calendar as an end-to-end production system, not just a planning tool
  • Ensure every activity is aligned to the messaging hierarchy and delivered to a high standard
  • Work closely with Brand & Content to maintain consistency in tone, quality and narrative
  • Develop sales enablement materials including talk tracks, email copy, proposal language and objection-handling frameworks
  • Partner with regional teams (APAC, AMER, EMEA) to localise and activate global propositions effectively

Requirements

  • Proven experience in proposition marketing, content strategy or commercial copywriting within a B2B environment
  • Strong ability to translate complex commercial or product insight into clear, compelling messaging
  • Experience developing value propositions and messaging frameworks that drive commercial outcomes
  • Track record of producing and directing B2B content across multiple formats
  • Experience creating sales enablement materials that support pipeline generation and conversion
  • Demonstrated ability to brief and guide creative and channel execution teams effectively
  • Experience working closely with commercial and product stakeholders
  • Strong copywriting capability, particularly for high-impact, strategic content
  • Experience in energy, chemicals, commodities or financial data is advantageous but not essential.

Benefits

  • Generous holiday allowance with the option to buy additional days
  • Health screening, eye care vouchers and private medical benefits
  • Wellbeing programs
  • Access to a competitive contributory pension scheme
  • Save As You Earn share option scheme
  • Travel Season ticket loan
  • Electric Vehicle Scheme
  • Optional Dental Insurance
  • Maternity, paternity and shared parental leave
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Access to emergency care for both the elderly and children
  • RECARES days, giving you time to support the charities and causes that matter to you
  • Access to employee resource groups with dedicated time to volunteer
  • Access to extensive learning and development resources
  • Access to employee discounts scheme via Perks at Work
