The Digital Consultant role will sit within the Digital, Data and Studio team and report to the Head of Data and Data Insights. The role, at Consultant level, will assist the growing Digital and Data and Insights teams to service and grow the social strategy, competitor benchmarking and campaign measurement analyses for the team in line with growing client demand for the offering. The role will assist on a variety of client accounts primarily across Public Affairs, Health and Corporate Communications. Our clients work in a variety of sectors including Creative Industries, Transport, Health, Food and Drink, Built Environment, Financial Services, Technology and Sport.
The Digital Consultant will play a pivotal role in driving Lexington’s digital transformation initiatives. This position requires a blend of strategic thinking, technical expertise, and strong communication skills to deliver impactful digital solutions for our clients and internal teams. The role is a key next step in the growth of the Digital and Data and Insights teams in its sixth year of running within Lexington and aims to help the team and the agency build and manage social media and digital campaigns for our clients, for both organic and paid activity. Some of the role consists of upskilling junior members, while other workstreams will require you to manage paid social media and Google campaigns more closely. The role also includes reacting to evidence around our clients’ external operating landscapes and measure the effect of our clients’ activities through ad performance and audience behaviours.
The team consists of a Head of Digital, Head of Data and Insights, a Quant and Qual specialist at Senior Consultant level and a Digital Insights specialist at Senior Consultant level.
Role requirements
- Around 4 years’ experience in a communications, health or public affairs agency role, either as part of account teams or an in-house digital or research team in an agency.
- Previous experience in a digital team within an agency environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage paid media campaigns and create engaging digital content.
- A good understanding of AI tools for answer engines, presentations, asset creation and data analysis.
Key responsibilities
- Digital strategy and transformation: Advise businesses on digital strategies, transformation, and technology implementation to improve efficiency and growth.
- Cross-team collaboration: Act as a bridge between design, account teams, and technical delivery, ensuring digital and studio initiatives align with business objectives through good use of creative briefs.
- Social media management: Develop and oversee social media plans and toolkits for implementation by junior team members (paid and organic social media).
- Paid media oversight: Manage paid spend for clients and Lexington across platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, Google and other networks.
- Content creation: Build assets for social media, including carousels, GIFs, and static videos using Canva and similar software.
- Monitoring and insights: Utilise social monitoring platforms and native social media analytics for competitor analysis and performance tracking.
- Emerging technologies: Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, including SEO and generative answer engines (GEO), to provide strategic guidance.
- Automation and innovation: Leverage existing Copilot agents and develop new ones to automate workflows and enhance productivity.
