About the role
We’re looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Consultant to join our public affairs team. This role is equivalent to an Account Manager at other agencies and offers the opportunity to work at the heart of UK public affairs, delivering strategic campaigns for some of the country’s most influential organisations.
You’ll play a key role in helping clients navigate complex political and policy landscapes, with a particular focus on the energy and transport sectors, where experience is especially valued.
You’ll lead on day-to-day account delivery, contribute to new business proposals and pitches, and build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders. You would be an integral member of the team, supporting senior colleagues and mentoring and coaching junior colleagues.
Who we’re looking for
We’re seeking a positive, proactive, and solutions-focused individual with a genuine passion for public affairs and a strong grasp of the UK political environment. You’ll be a confident communicator, both in writing and in person, capable of producing high-quality content under pressure and managing multiple priorities with precision. We are particularly interested in candidates who have a background in transport, energy and infrastructure.
You’ll bring:
- Previous experience in a political or communications role
- 2-3 years+ experience
- A strategic mindset and the ability to think critically about complex policy and communications challenges
- Excellent written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Strong account management skills, with the ability to manage time effectively and deliver to tight deadlines
- A self-starting attitude, with the initiative to take ownership of tasks and solve problems independently
Whether you come from an agency, in-house role, or another background, what matters most is your drive, curiosity, and commitment to delivering outstanding work at the intersection of business and politics.
Other desired skills:
- Sector knowledge in energy and/or transport
